Whenever I think of Ian I always end up laughing as he had such a good sense of humour and was always eager to try an adventure ... one particular example is taking Ian on a road trip to the flinders rangers in outback Australia in a non air conditioned Volvo and we stopped at the local bakery for a pie ... poor Ian bright red and sweating asked the dodgy tour guide Duncan “ are we there yet ?? “ ........”almost “ replied dunc ... poor Ian had to climb back in the car for another 300 km in the 40 degree plus heat but not once did he complain .... he was a true adventurer for sure and I know he will be so sadly missed xxxxx the sayers family
